Iain Masterton is a Scottish freelance photographer and writer.
He lived in Hong Kong and China for a total of 10 years and studied Chinese language in Beijing.
He has also recently been based in Tokyo and on Sakhalin Island in Russia for several years.
His book "To the Hutongs" , a black and white study of the old alleyways in Beijing is available to buy at amazon.co.uk and in bookshops in Asia.
He is a Chartered Civil Engineer.
