These images were taken in Beijing over a period of three years from 2000 to 2003 and document life in the ancient alleyways and lanes in the heart of Beijing. These narrow lanes that crisscross the city are called hutongs. Although many hutongs have now succumbed to the developers bulldozers, many still remain today. Images of new Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt airport in Berlin. Still under construction and over 7 years late, the airport still has no opening date as of June 2017.

After many years of renovation and reconstruction, the Neues Museum, or New Museum, on Berlin`s famous Museumsinsel, reopened in early October 2009. It now houses Berlin`s fantastic Egyptian collection. Previously the museum had opened in March 2009 after the architectural work on the museum had finished and before it had been fitted out with exhibits. Here are a few photographs from Iain Masterton Photography taken during both periods. The museum`s architect is David Chipperfield.

Images of new major highway bridge crossing the River Forth at South Queensferry in Scotland. The Queensferry Crossing is a 3-tower cable-stayed bridge and forms the third major crossing at the location. Scheduled to open at the end of August 2017.
