Scottish farmers stage rally outside Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland, UK. UK. 28th November, 2024. Scottish farmers stage a rally outside the Scottish Parliament today calling for the Scottish Budget next week to deliver increased and ring-fenced funding for Scotland’s farmers and crofters. They also protested against the decision taken by the UK Government to discontinue the safety net of a ring-fenced budget for Scottish agriculture, after more than five decades. Organised by the NFU Scotland, under the #FoodNeedsAFarmer slogan, the rally follows a previous rally by farmers in London who protested against new inheritance tax plans by the Labour Government .
